Indian gaming industry to touch $830-mn mark

According to a report by software industry body Nasscom says that Indian gaming industry will grow 49 per cent to touch $830 million by 2012.

Reports show that the country's gaming industry was worth $167 million in 2008. At the global level it is poised for an annual growth rate of 10.5 per cent to reach $53.6 billion by 2012 from $21 billion in 2008.

The reports say that India will become a center for original animation films.
