Indian Olympic stars dominate TV ads in August 2021: BARC

Indian athletes have put up the country’s best ever show at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, which has brought them into prominence as well as attracted the brands’ attention. Even as the India-England Test series is currently on, Indian athletes have found favour with brands and have been appearing in several TV ad campaigns during this period, especially August 2021.

As per BARC India data, 31 per cent of ads on TV featured Indian Olympians during the Tokyo Olympics 2020. An encouraging 69 per cent of the ads featured female Olympians.
