On a broader scale, Tripathi said, India’s economic growth and increasing digital adoption will drive innovation. The expanding middle class and rising disposable incomes will boost spending on entertainment and gaming.
In the gaming sector, Tripathi saw AI continuing to redefine game development, enhancing personalization and creating more dynamic, responsive gaming experiences. “The government’s emphasis on digital infrastructure policies and start-up ecosystems will also open new opportunities for gaming and e-sports companies,” he added.
He expected more global gaming collaborations and international tournaments in India, giving local talent a global stage, and added that this will not only enhance player engagement, but also create new revenue streams and ownership models within games.
“As we look ahead, responsible gaming practices and regulatory clarity will be essential for the sector’s sustainable growth. With these trends on the horizon, 2025 promises to be a year where innovation, accessibility, and global opportunities shape the future of gaming and the broader economy,” he further said.
Looking at these factors, Tripathi believes that 2025 is poised to be a transformative year for the gaming industry, driven by technological advancements, economic growth, and evolving consumer expectations.
