IPG considers $300M sale of R/GA to TCS amid industry turmoil

Interpublic Group (IPG), a titan of the advertising industry, is considering relinquishing its crown jewel, the digital marketing agency R/GA, to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).  This potential sale comes amidst whispers of executive departures and client defections at R/GA, with its revenue facing a 20% tumble to around $200 million last year.  While negotiations are still underway, a price tag of $300 million is on the table, but the deal could fall through if IPG and TCS can't find common ground on valuation.  This move, if finalized, would mark a significant streamlining for IPG and a bold expansion into the digital marketing frontier for TCS.
