IRS 2009 R2 reports Radio City on the 2nd slot

The IRS 2009 R2 report shows that "Radio City' is at the second position in terms of consolidated reach of 80, 88, 000 in its markets of operation.

The report shows that there has been a common decline in the listenership for most of the players comapred to the R1 in Mumbai and Delhi. Despite this Radio City has emerged as the Number 2 station in key advertiser markets of - Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

In Mumbai, Radio City 91.1 FM is at 2nd position with a reach of 24,79,000 and way ahead of the Number 3 station by 4,96000 listeners.

In Delhi, Radio City is also at the 2nd position with a reach of 26,29,000 and leads the Number 3 station by a margin of 7,22,000.

In Bangalore, Radio City is at the top position with a reach of 10,11,000 listeners.

The station has its presence in 20 cities across the country and in Delhi and Mumbai market Radio City is next to Radio Mirchi and is ahead of Red FM. Recently they have become very aggressive with their content and are constantly inviting Bollywood stars to attract their audiences and are trying to give tough competetion to the other players.
