IRS 2011 Q4: Times Of India continues to lead the charts
The Times of India reported rise from 7,467,000 to 7,616,000 and has registered 2 per cent growth in this quarter. Hindustan Times maintains second position with growth of 3,791,000 from 3,733,000 shown growth of 1.55 per cent. The Hindu at third position, with 2,240,000 from 2,169,000 registered more than 3 per cent of growth. The Telegraph, from ABP Group, is at no. four position with rise from 1,209,000 to 1,266,000 has recorded a marginal growth in its AIR over the last quarter. At no. five is Deccan Chronicle which showed decline and went to 1,034,000 from 1,094,000 compared to last quarter. DNA is at no. six by growth of 8, 97,000 from 8, 63,000 going ahead of Economic Times. Mumbai Mirror bagged no. seven position with growth of 8, 03,000 from 7, and 60,000 in last quarter with 5.65 per cent. The Economic Times is at no. eight and recorded decline from 8, 12,000 to 7,90,000 this quarter. At no. 9 is The new Indian Express showed growth of 6,37,000 from 5,93,000 previous quarter and also become fastest growing English daily in South India, with the growth of 7.41 per cent . At no. ten is Tribune which recorded decline and went to 5, 85,000 from 5, 99,000 as compared to previous quarter.
