Kids say "I'm loving it' with SpongeBob at McDonald's
The Happy Meal with SpongeBob SquarePants will be available at every McDonald's outlet across the country till 26 April.
Viacom 18 Media SVP Consumer Products & Communications Sandeep Dahiya is all excited about the new tie up.
"This is the second time we've tied up with McDonald's to launch the Happy Meal with Nickelodeon's iconic SpongeBob SquarePants. We're excited to partner with McDonald's once again to delight our young consumers with a fantastic array of the new Happy Meal SpongeBob toys," he said.
"It will be introduced in 30 cities across all McDonald's outlets. This meal would cost Rs 105 and kids would get to select their favourite avatar of SpongeBob. The initiative will continue for the next four weeks.
"The meal will contain SpongeBob in eight different avatars ' a scientist, CEO, astronaut, chef, painter, policeman, to name a few," he revealed.
Nickelodeon will be promoting the Happy Meal on its channel as it will help in creating the necessary buzz and excitement amongst the kids who watch these cartoons on the channel and it will create a sense of excitement amongst them to own these.
Besides this there are other partnerships too in the pipeline.
Rameet Arora, Senior Director Marketing, Hardcastle Restaurants (McDonald's India) too is upbeat about the venture. "At McDonald's we provide all our customers with exciting meal options. We are happy to announce our association with Nickelodeon for the launch of our young patron's favorite Happy Meal. SpongeBob is an iconic character that is a craze amongst children today. We hope that kids everywhere will enjoy this endeavor undertaken by McDonald's to extend the "Im lovin it' experience," he said.
Nickelodeon and McDonald's enjoy a strong hold on their target audience. This association only brings two giant brands together to deliver a product that will be enjoyed by one and all. The tie-up will also see several promotional activities across multiple cities.
