KIDVILLE presents a workshop on "THINK PREVENTION & FIRST AID" on SUNDAY, 8th of April at 11am

Kwakids Learning Pvt. Ltd. launched Kidville, a well known US enrichment facility for children 7 and under. Kidville to present a workshop on “THINK PREVENTION & FIRST AID” on SUNDAY, 8th of April at 11am. Dr. Rashid Merchant Consulting Pediatrician - Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, will conduct a workshop on first-aid at the Kidville centre at Atria Mall, Worli.

Education regarding choking risks, precautions to take in avoiding these risks, and known life saving procedures are necessary to eliminate senseless and tragic injuries and deaths caused by choking among children. Pediatricians, family practice physicians, health care workers, parents, grandparents, day care workers, school personnel, older children, siblings, babysitters and communities as a whole play a key role in the prevention of injuries and need to share information with caregivers to identify potential choking hazards.

Speaking about the need for this workshop, Rosenyn Kapur, Managing Director & CEO, Kwakids Learning Pvt. Ltd. said, “The statistics of deaths of children due to choking in India are not known. However, too little attention is paid by parents and caregivers towards this risk. I, myself, am a mother to young kids and in Mumbai, if a child chokes, inhales or eats poisonous substance at home there is very little one can do till such time medical help arrives or one reaches the hospital. We are unaware of the first aid techniques”
