Knorr’s #ModTheVeg campaign levels up Gaming

Knorr, the global food brand celebrated for its culinary innovations, has unveiled a groundbreaking campaign aimed at redefining the gaming landscape by championing vegetables as virtual MVPs. With its mission to bridge the gap between real-life nutrition and virtual sustenance, Knorr is set to #ModTheVeg and make vegetables the heroes of gaming.

Veggies Deserve Better in Gaming
Knorr’s research has brought to light the stark inequality in how vegetables are valued compared to meat in popular video games:

  • In Fortnite, meat boosts +15HP, while cabbage only provides +10HP.
  • In Minecraft, cooked steak restores four hunger bars, but carrots refill just two.
  • In Skyrim, boar meat offers +12HP, while a leek gives a mere +1HP.
  • In ARK Survival Evolved, cooked meat delivers +20 hunger and +8HP, but corn provides only a hunger refill.

These disparities highlight the need for a virtual nutrition revolution to elevate veggies to their rightful status in gaming.

Veggies are the Future
“At Knorr, we believe in making good food accessible and exciting, even in the digital world,” said Chintan Dholakia, General Manager, Unilever. “This campaign isn’t just about gaming—it’s about rewriting the narrative for vegetables, giving them the recognition they deserve, both on-screen and off.”

Knorr is partnering with the global modding community to develop innovative, veg-focused mods for hit games like FortniteMinecraftSkyrim, and GTA V. These mods will empower veggies with enhanced health, stamina, and gameplay attributes, turning the virtual world into a culinary adventure where vegetables truly shine.
Gamers can participate by exploring Knorr’s veg-powered mods and signing a petition urging gaming publishers to embrace vegetable inclusivity. By uniting, players can level up the gaming experience and champion a new era where veggies take center stage in the digital universe.
