Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan wins the SILF Cricket Cup 2022

LKS is happy to share that their cricket team won the 2022 edition of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) Cricket Tournament held in Delhi. LKS team led by captain Anurag Kapur defeated S&A Law by 4 wickets in the finals match.   21 top law firms participated in the Tournament and played some very good and entertaining T20 cricket.   After defeating Saraf & Partners in the Quarter Final and L&L Partners quite comfortably, LKS squared off against S&A Law in the finals for the Cup.  

Put into bat, S&A faced some real swing and fast bowling from the bowlers of LKS.  With some excellent pace and swing bowling, the bowlers of LKS (Abhinov, Vashu, Kabir and Vishal), backed up by superb ground fielding, restricted S&A to a below par score of 136 for 9 wickets in the 20 overs.  Though S&A Law fought well to defend that score by taking wickets at regular intervals, captain of LKS Anurag Kapur played the role of sheet anchor and built crucial partnerships with Yogesh Srinivasan and Abhishek Ranjan.    

In the 19^th over, with a four and a six, Anurag sealed the win and ensured that LKS has lifted the SILF Cricket Cup 2022.  Anurag was declared as Man of the Match.  He also won the Batsman of the Tournament award for his aggregate score of 205 runs with an average of over 200 and strike rate of over 120.   Akash Mittal, the allrounder, was declared the Bowler of the Tournament for his 11 wickets with an economy of 5.22.
