Lie to protect yourself: Facebook

In a stringent break from its tradition of honesty- it was the first social network site to encourage people to disclose real identities in an order to facilitate searches and make users more responsible for their actions- FACEBOOK, IN THE ONSLAUGHT OF THE OVERHAUL IN ITS PRIVACY SETTING advocated that users lie about their location and remove their pictures from their profiles in a bid to maintain their privacy.

In a later statement, Facebook aligned this statement and tried to soft play its words. However, the iceberg has already started to melt!
