Linkedln to further foray in India

India boasts 3.5 million Linkedln users of the 55 million across the world and is its largest place of adoption in the world. In response to this, to generate greater business Linkedln has recently opened an office in Mumbai, where business is picking up fast.

Nayan Patil has been inducted as Director of Operations in India for Linkedln which plans to expand its network and distribution channels and has linked with Network I8, which will source news from its business and finance section as well as well CBNC”TV 18, a channel for Indian business news. It will also offer a platform to third party developers.

Estimated at a approx USD 1 billion a couple of years ago, Linkedln is reluctant to go public; it has its goal set on an IPO at some point in time, but not anytime soon.
