Love, Delivered — HUFT Foundation’s Year of Giving

A small act of kindness can go a long way — and for the HUFT Foundation, that belief has translated into tangible impact across the country.

With every order placed on Heads Up For Tails, a portion is directed towards the Foundation’s welfare initiatives, allowing customers to play a quiet but powerful role in supporting India’s community animals.

Over the past year, this model of collective giving has helped drive large-scale efforts — from feeding street animals and supporting shelters to organising adoption drives and educational workshops.

Operating at the intersection of compassion and community, the HUFT Foundation continues to work closely with NGOs, caregivers, and volunteers to build a kinder, more inclusive world for animals.

Its approach focuses on empowering people with the knowledge and tools to take meaningful action — whether through awareness programs, resource distribution, or sustained on-ground support.

Here’s a look at the Foundation’s impact over the last financial year — made possible by everyday choices, small contributions, and a shared commitment to doing good.

Small Acts, Big Change

From daily meals and warm beds to adoption drives and awareness sessions — the past year was filled with quiet moments of kindness that added up to something truly meaningful.

In 2023–24, the HUFT Foundation’s “Feed a Dog in Need” program served over 2.5 million meals to street animals, ensuring that fewer dogs went to sleep on an empty stomach.

As summer temperatures soared, more than 10,000 bright orange water bowls were placed across cities to provide access to clean drinking water — small interventions that made a big difference.

To keep community animals safe, over 25,000 reflective collars were distributed, helping streeties stay visible and protected on busy roads, especially at night. And when the winter chill set in, 30,000 jackets and beds were donated to help street dogs and cats stay warm and comfortable.

Beyond on-ground relief, the Foundation focused on education and awareness — reaching over 50,000 people through school programs, residential workshops, and corporate sessions. These activities were built to deepen empathy and encourage more thoughtful, informed care for community animals living among us.

Support extended to shelter animals as well, with more than 40,000 dogs and cats receiving food, medical aid, and other essentials through Foundation partnerships.

Meanwhile, adoption initiatives — both online and in-store — helped over 2,200 rescued pets find their forever homes.

The HUFT Tribe, a growing network of volunteers across 17 cities, played an active role in many of these efforts — showing up, speaking up, and continuing to build a culture of everyday kindness.

And at the Foundation’s flagship event, HUFT Dogathon, participants helped raise over ₹3 million to support the ongoing welfare of street animals.

Kindness Is a Community Effort

None of this would have been possible without the quiet generosity of thousands of pet parents who chose to shop with purpose. Every contribution — no matter how small — helped push the HUFT Foundation’s mission forward.

As the Foundation looks ahead to another year of compassionate action, its focus remains the same: to support the animals who share our streets, shelters, and lives — and to build a future where kindness isn’t the exception, but the norm.

Because when care comes together, it creates change that lasts.
