M V Shreyams Kumar set to become new INS President at 85th AGM

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) is poised to elect M V Shreyams Kumar as its new president for a one-year term, during its 85th Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 27, 2024. Currently serving as Deputy President of INS, Kumar is expected to succeed Rakesh Sharma, who held the presidency for the 2023-24 term. Kumar, Managing Director of Mathrubhumi newspaper and a former member of the Janata Dal (United) party, joined Mathrubhumi in 2000 as Director of Marketing and Electronic Media. He holds a PGDBA from Kings Langley College of Management, London.

The AGM’s agenda will focus on financial and administrative matters, including the adoption of the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for the year ending March 31, 2024. Additionally, the re-appointment of M/s. Khanna & Annadhanam as Statutory Auditors for a five-year term and the election of new members to the Executive Committee will also be addressed.
