Madison World wins ITC's 400 crore account

Following a multi-agency pitch, Madison World has won the media duties for ITC. The pitch was initiated earlier this year for an agency that could handle the media duties for the entire ITC portfolio across all its verticals.

The account size is believed to be a phenomenal size of over Rs.400 crore. A spokesperson from within Madison World confirmed the news to Adgully, though no official comment was made. Prior to Madison World winning the account, the account was handled by Lintas Media Group (LMG).

It is believed that the agency will start working on the account only next year in January.

A source at Madison World shares, on condition of anonymity, that the agency's relationship with the business conglomerate will see the light of day on January 01, 2011.

Moreover, reportedly Madison, which has different units like Madison Mediacom, Madison Media and Platinum Media, will be setting up a separate unit to service the ITC account.

ITC is one of India's multi-business conglomerate with presence in services and commodities like hotels, paperboards/specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, cigarettes, safety matches, and stationery, as well as several other FMCG products.
