Manish Tiwary steps down as Amazon India Country Head
Manish Tiwary, Country Manager, India Consumer Business, Amazon India, has resigned from the organisation after a stint of eight and a half years with the e-commerce major, as per industry sources. He will continue till October or a smooth transition.
Manish Tiwary has spearheaded the consumer business for Amazon in India, including seller services and focused on transforming the way India buys and sells. He joined Amazon India in 2016 after a long and fruitful stint with Unilever. He was part of the Unilever (India) Board with specific responsibility for Sales for South Asia. His last role was as the Managing Director for Unilever (Gulf) managing a cluster of 34 countries in North Africa and Middle East operating from Dubai.
Prior to Amazon, Tiwary had spent more than two decades in the FMCG business across numerous categories and channels in India, the Gulf and North Africa.
Tiwary holds a Management degree from Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science from BITS.
