Mansi Parekh: Unsure if Ratna Pathak Shah would do gujarati film

It's been a year since the release of 'Kutch Express,' but it would not be wrong to say that the film is still charging high to become a part of conversations around. Recently, actress and producer of the Gujarati blockbuster film, Mansi Parekh, has made the disclosure of an intriguing detail that has left everyone bewildered.

During a first-of-its-kind actresses' Roundtable 2024 streaming on Shemaroo Gujarati Manorajan’s YouTube Channel, the actress spoke about her experience working with Ratna Pathak Shah and also shared her initial thoughts when she approached the veteran actress for the Gujarati film.

Mansi Parekh shared, “It was an incredible experience working with Ratna Pathak Ma'am. When I shared the 'Kutch Express' script with her, we were unsure if she would agree to do a Gujarati film. But within 10 days of reading the script, she was on board. I learned so much from her throughout the shooting process. Working with veterans like Ratna Ma'am has been a tremendous learning experience. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to absorb so much from her.”

Talking about Kutch Express, it is a Gujarati drama film highlighting the strength of the unique bond between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and a son that encourages his mother to pursue her dreams and live her life to the fullest. Directed by Viral Shah, the film stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Manasi Parekh, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary and Viraf Patel in lead roles. It is produced by Parthiv Gohil and Manasi Parekh. The film is available to stream in Gujarati and Hindi languages, on ShemarooMe OTT platform.
