Meta introduces Movie Gen, new AI model generating videos

It has been announced by Meta that Movie Gen, a new AI model has been built by it for creating video and audio clips that seem real  after responding to prompts. Meta also stated that Movie Gen can pose a competition to leading AI startups such as OpenAI and others. Meta shared the samples of the creations of Movie Gen showcasing people to paint on a canvas by using their original pictures and videos of animals surfing and swimming. Moreover sound effects and background music can also be created by Movie Gen.

It was stated by Meta in a blog post that the tool can be used for editing the current videos, where Meta showed how pom poms can be incorporated into a man's hands who is running by himself in the desert by using the tool. The duration of the videos generated by Movie Gen can be upto 16 seconds and audio up to 45 seconds long.
