Michael Pring steps down as COO of AMV BBDO after 12 years
Michael Pring, the Chief Operating Officer of AMV BBDO, has decided to step down after an impressive twelve-year journey with the agency, according to media reports. Pring, who was appointed COO in January 2022, oversaw the agency’s operations and managed key accounts such as Diageo (Guinness) and PepsiCo during his tenure in the role.
Pring's career with AMV BBDO began in October 2012 when he joined as Managing Partner. Over the years, he held several senior positions, including his promotion to Deputy Chairman & Chief Marketing Officer in 2017. Throughout his time at the agency, Pring became known for his strong leadership and strategic thinking, contributing to the agency's success across various high-profile campaigns.
With more than 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising, Pring has worked across a variety of sectors and agency types. His career includes stints with agencies like Leagas Delaney, Dare, and MCBD, among others. In addition to his agency work, Pring has been actively involved in the broader marketing community, having served as a former member of the IPA Council and being a long-term member of The Marketing Society. He is also a graduate of the Omnicom University Senior Management Program.
Pring’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for AMV BBDO, where his leadership has been a key factor in driving the agency's success over the past decade.
