Mickey Mehta and 'The Art of Living' join hands to promote Worldwide 'Yogathon'

India’s leading Health guru, Mickey Mehta and ‘The Art of Living’ community has come together to promote the practice of Suryanamaskars on World Health day, 7th April 2012.

During their address to the local and National media, India’s Leading Holistic Health Gury – Mickey Mehta elaborated on the twelve Beej mantras of Suryanamaskar and the benefits of practicing the same towards achieving Wellness and Wellbeing which in mickey’s par lance is a step on the ladder of evolution. On the day, Mickey will educate, inspire and motivate the crowd while kindling their enthusiasm towards the idea of holistic health and well-being. Making Suryanamaskar an embodiment, epicentre, and epitome of health and healing, Mickey will come in full strength with his force of 50 trainers for the event. During the press conference which was chaired by eminent citizens such as Shaina NC (Celebrity Journalist) and Mr Prasana Prabhu (Trustee, Sri Sri Publications Trust), Mickey also educated people on the cosmic nutritional value of the divine sun, which is a revolutionary perspective in its own right.

When asked to comment on the recent study on the ill effects of yoga, Mickey brought his decades of experience on board to confirm that it is usual for certain external elements to discourage any good practice to mislead the public and that every good initiative will face some level of resistance from groups with vested interests. He also noted that it is essential to not get distracted or discouraged to perform yoga in all its forms irrespective of religion, age or gender.

The Yogathon will also be conducted in Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan and Sri Lanka along with 1567 venues across India with over 1 million participants in the country.
