MindPeers and Wendy's Partner for Pride Month

MindPeers is excited to announce a new partnership with the popular burger chain Wendy's for the month of June, called "We Take Pride In Pride," to celebrate Pride Month. This collaboration aims to support the LGBTQ+ community with two special initiatives:

  1. Unlimited Counseling: Wendy's community will have access to unlimited counseling sessions through MindPeers for the entire month of June. 2. Queer Identities and Allyship Workbook: A specially designed workbook to promote understanding and support for queer identities and allyship.

June is celebrated as Pride Month across the world. Members of the LGBTQ+ community often experience "minority stress," a condition resulting from living in hostile environments as minorities. Common mental health issues within the community include depression and anxiety. LGBTQ+ youth are 1.75 times more likely to suffer from anxiety and depression, and the transgender community is even more vulnerable, experiencing 2.4 times higher rates of these conditions, according to a survey by The Trevor Project.

This collaboration aims to offer free counseling to members of the LGBTQ+ community and Wendy's clientele, helping them begin their healing journey with MindPeers.

Wendy's has designed customized packaging with a QR code that links to a special co-branded landing page. From this page, users can access the workbook and a button to initiate counseling sessions. Users can choose to download the workbook or proceed to counseling services.

A Wendy’s spokesperson added, “We are proud to partner with MindPeers for Pride Month. This initiative aligns with our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and we believe it will make a positive impact on our community.”

MindPeers combines technological empathy and human expertise to provide science-backed interventions and personalized modules. The partnership was kick-started with an online event hosted for Wendy's employees, where they were introduced to a range of mental health services including one-on-one online therapy sessions with seasoned professionals, self-care and personalized digital tools, Neuro Games, Employee Awareness and Uptake programs, workshops, community group sessions, and more. MindPeers also provides a mobile application to facilitate convenience for users.
