Monica Tata bids adieu to Turner Intl.

Monica Tata, GM – Entertainment Networks, South Asia at Turner International India, has resigned from the company after being with them for nearly nine years. The development was confirmed by a Turner official who stated that she would continue to serve her notice period with the company till the end of the year. It is not yet known as to who will replace her at Turner International.

Tata has over 23 years experience and known to have an excellent record of increasing sales, effective negotiations, P&L analysis and strategic implementation of business operations. She was earlier with Star India as Senior Vice President for nearly 12 years before moving on to Turner as Vice President , Advertising Sales, in 2004. She also had a short stint at Sunday Mail  at the beginning of her career in 1991.

While with Turner International Tata had been managing their day to day business operations. She is also a member of the Managing Committee at the India Chapter of the International Advertising Association,

At Turner, she was responsible for steering and overseeing all network initiatives across Turner’s entertainment brand portfolio in South Asia. Her mandate included development, supervision and providing strategic direction to all Turner entertainment channels. Her portfolio also included overseeing advertising sales, research and marketing communication functions, providing strategic direction, driving initiatives to support revenue growth for the company’s entertainment offerings in South Asia.
