Morgan Stanley PE Asia acquires stake in ClearMedi Healthcare

Morgan Stanley PE Asia has acquired a 100% stake in ClearMedi Healthcare, a Delhi-based healthcare company founded by Dr. Shashi Kant Baliyan in 2000. The acquisition deal is valued at approximately $35 million or 285 crore. The stake was acquired from the KOS Group, a leading healthcare group in Italy, by the promoters of ClearMedi Healthcare and the private equity fund. The deal involved providing fresh equity to the company and purchasing the stake, although specific details regarding the amounts of stake purchased and fresh equity have not been disclosed. The KOS Group, which operates 110 facilities, has been an astute investor in oncology hospitals in Delhi and radiation therapy centers across eight states and a union territory. ClearMedi Healthcare specializes in providing cancer care services.
