Mystery shrouds Sharad Kelkar’s character in The Family Man 3

It seems that what happens in Lonavala during ‘The Family Man’s third season will remain a mystery. Sharad Kelkar was part of two seasons of Amazon Prime’s successful show ‘The Family Man’. The action drama, which features Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi and others, is created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. The buzz about the third season has been on for a long time now and a few weeks ago, the makers announced that Season 3 of the show has gone on floor too.

However, Sharad, who played the role of Priyamani’s colleague Arvind, has not started shooting for the show. In fact, in some of the recent interviews he has revealed that he has no clue about his role in the third part, even if the team has started shooting for it. He stated that the makers have not contacted him or asked for his dates, so he has assumed that either his role is not there in the story or they might call him later, if he is part of the show. He also mentioned that he is sure that the next instalment is going to be bigger than the previous one, but is not aware if they have found a new person to be in his place or not.

In the first and second parts of this spy-thriller, Sharad’s character was much appreciated. Priyamani portrayed the character of Manoj’s on-screen wife, who suspects that she is in love with her colleague Arvind in the first season. Suchitra’s behaviour changes after she goes for a trip with Arvind in Lonavala. But throughout the seasons, she does not reveal what actually happened between her and Arvind on that trip. In the end of the second season, she actually tells her husband that she wishes to narrate something to him, but the makers chose to keep it a secret. It was expected that they will expose the truth about Suchitra and Arvind’s Lonavala trip, but since Sharad has not yet started shooting for the show, it seems that this mystery will not get resolved in the upcoming season too. Rumours suggest that Sharad might feature in the third part.

The third season of the show is going to take some time to arrive, since the cast and crew has just started shooting for the show. In the third part, as hinted by the directors, it will focus on North-East India and will highlight the geo-political issues based on that region, but there is no official confirmation on it so far.
