Nihar Naturals Shanti Badam Amla’s film inspires lives through education
Nihar Naturals Shanti Badam Amla has unveiled an inspiring digital film in honour of World Literacy Day, celebrating the life-changing potential of education. This heart-warming narrative captures the empowering journey of a young girl who uses her education to assist her mother in preparing for a crucial loan interview, which represents a dream of opening the village's first ladies' tailor shop. The film beautifully illustrates how education can uplift individuals, families, and entire communities.
Somasree Bose Awasthi, Chief Marketing Officer, Marico Limited, highlighted the brand’s commitment to literacy, stating: “We believe education is the cornerstone of progress in any society. Through our English Literacy Program, running for the past five years, we’ve empowered over 1.75 lakh educators, impacting the lives of over 15 lakh students in rural India. The Nihar Shanti Pathshala Funwala program, launched across states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Rajasthan, is further strengthened by our commitment of investing 5% of the brand's profits into this mission. Our latest film serves as a testament to the social impact of our brand’s commitment to education.”
The Nihar Shanti Pathshala Funwala program, in partnership with LeapForWord, focuses on improving English language proficiency among rural educators through phonetics. This initiative enables teachers to educate students in their mother tongue, simplifying English learning.
Pranil Naik, Founder of LeapForWord, remarked: “Collaborating with Nihar Naturals Shanti Badam Amla has expanded our outreach from 1 district to over 140 districts across India. Together, we continue championing the cause of children’s education, making a lasting difference in communities.”
The digital film is a powerful reminder of education's pivotal role in societal progress, furthering the brand’s mission to promote inclusive and equitable quality education in alignment with this year’s International Literacy Day.
