Nissan teams up with Olympian Ryan Lochte to bring the workout to the workplace

Nissan Innovator and 11-time Olympic Medalist, Ryan Lochte, has teamed with renowned performance coach and Men’s Health (Rodale Inc.) personality, David Jack, to develop The Ryan Lochte Office Burn.

The humorous video, which was filmed at Nissan Headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, debuts today on the Nissan Innovation for Endurance Facebook page (facebook.com/InnovationForEndurance). In it, Lochte and Jack demonstrate several convenient, easy workouts anyone can do right in the workplace.

Among the exercises exhibited in the video are Conference Call Calisthenics, Coffee Curls, the Double-Booked Dash, Prairie Dog Plunges, Bumper Blasters to Tone Triceps and Synergy Sit-Ups, during which Lochte partakes in a brainstorming session, suggesting they “broaden our vision, by narrowing our focus,” all while sculpting his eight-pack.

Nissan worked with TBWA\Chiat\Day LA and Rodale to concept the idea, develop and produce the social media strategy and craft all creative and video content.

David Jack commented: "Ryan and I had a lot of fun shooting the Office Burn at Nissan headquarters. We took a lighthearted approach to remind people that fitness is fun when you create and innovate with it, making it feel more like play. And play leads to less stress, increased energy and better relationships. Key benefits to any environment, especially the workplace".

Vinay Shahani, Director of Marketing Communications at Nissan, commented: "The Workplace Workout video will be the latest addition to Nissan's Innovation for Endurance. Nissan's partnership with Ryan Lochte and David Jack has produced some highly entertaining content."

Karl Dunn and Tito Melega, Creative Directors at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA commented: "Ryan Lochte has been a fantastic collaborator and partner for us at Nissan and Rodale. This latest Office Burn video is another example of what a great sport he is."

In addition, Lochte and Nissan are giving consumers the opportunity to display their best office fitness innovation in the Ryan Lochte Office Burn Challenge. Consumers are simply asked to submit their best office workout idea at the Innovation for Endurance Facebook page for the opportunity to win a Kindle Fire and a trip to New York City to see their video produced and premiered on Nissan Innovation for Endurance.
