Norway to increase social media age limit to 15 years

Norway has made the announcement about increasing the social media age limit to 15 years for safegaurding children from online content that is considered as harmful. 

As per reports, an age verification system will also be executed by the Norwegian government for ensuring compliancy with the newly released reules. 

 According to Jonas Gahr Støre, the Norwegian PM, the new rules would be preventing the tech organisations from gathering personal data from below 15 year olds. The proposal of the government will soon go for submission for consultation process. Further it will be passed through the parliament.
