Paritosh Tripathi on why roasting someone is so challenging
Actor, writer, host and stand-up comedian Paritosh Tripathi is currently seen in Sony Television’s comedy show, ‘Madness Machayenge: Duniya Ko Hasayenge’. During an exclusive chit-chat with Adgully, the actor speaks about the show, comedy, career, inspiration and much more.
Sharing his reasons for doing the show, Paritosh says, “It is because of the channel and the team I decided to do this show. I have been associated with the channel and the production house Optimystix. They are like a family to me and similarly, I have been working with Sony. Therefore, I chose to do it. The show is for all age groups, so I hope the audience will watch it and recommend it to others.”
The actor is known for writing his own gigs and reveals his inspiration behind writing, “It depends on the time, like when I am writing a romantic poetry, then I think about love, relationship and women in my life. When I talk about society through my writing, then whatever is happening around us in the society is reflected in my writing. I prefer to write as per the current situation.”
When asked about what has been the challenging part of the show, Paritosh replies, “I think roasting someone is always challenging in that one must not make a person feel bad about it – that is a tough thing to do. Apart from that the reality portion of this show, where we are going to be shooting in a real set up, and try to play a prank on real people, that is also quite difficult. But I can say that in any gig, it is hard to impress someone easily.”
The actor is hoping that people will be open to new concepts while watching his show and says, “I hope that people keep an open mind while watching the show and accept it. We are going to do comedy or prank in a healthy way, we are not going to demean anyone like we have been doing it so far. We don’t want someone to feel bad with our jokes, they need to take it in the right way and should be able to laugh at themselves. According to me, making people laugh without saying a word is a difficult form of comedy, and we have tried doing that too in this show.”
Paritosh thinks it is important to take a break from work at times and states, “I believe it is very necessary to take a break. If you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle, then it is important to have a cheat day. During the break you get a chance to introspect about life and work, which you have done as well as about what you want to do in future.”
Tripathi has been seen in various films – right from ‘Ludo’ to ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ and many others. He has quite a few films in his kitty this year as well and says, “I am doing four-five films back-to-back, they are going to release this year.”
