Partha Sinha to be elected new ASCI Chairman

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) is set to elect its new governing body on September 4, 2024 during its 38th Annual General Meeting. Partha Sinha, the current Vice-Chairman of ASCI, is set to be elected as the new Chairman, taking over the reins from Saugata Gupta, MD and CEO, Marico Ltd. Gupta was elected Chairman of ASCI Board of Governors for the term 2023-2024.

Sinha was appointed President and Chief Brand Officer, Bennett Coleman & Company Limited in July this year. He had previously held the position of President, Response, BCCL, where he was responsible for revenue growth and fostering brand-content interactions.

An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad, Sinha has had a diverse career over 30 years, working as a nuclear design engineer, banker, and strategy and marketing head for media and internet companies, as well as an advertising strategist. He has been associated with notable organizations such as Ogilvy, Publicis, BBH, McCann, and Citibank.
