PepsiCo India Empowers Wellness and Social Impact Through Global ‘Move for Good’ Initiative

PepsiCo, in partnership with the PepsiCo Foundation, launched ‘Move for Good’, an employee driven initiative to promote workplace wellness and support communities in need. This six-week challenge culminating on August 12, 2024, encourages PepsiCo employees worldwide to engage in various forms of physical activity, including running, walking, biking, swimming, dancing, and even gardening.

Employees can register on the Virgin Pulse app, to browse and track their activity, form new teams and join existing ones. The app converts various physical activities into steps, making it easy for employees to contribute in diverse ways. Whether it's traditional workouts or activities like housecleaning, yoga, and gardening, every effort counts towards their step goals. The collective aim of this initiative is to achieve 8 billion steps, which will result in the donation of 4 million meals to feed the hungry.

PepsiCo India is actively encouraging its employees to participate in the ‘Move for Good’ challenge. Employees are forming teams and pushing each other to reach higher step counts, leading to an increased sense of fellowship and teamwork. By transforming physical activity into a charitable endeavor, PepsiCo’s ‘Move for Good’ aims to improve employee well-being while making a positive impact on communities at large.

“Employee health & well-being is an integral part of programs at PepsiCo India. The 'Move for Good' initiative aligns with our commitment to employee-centricity, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration. By converting every step into a tangible benefit for those in need, we are creating a unique synergy between personal health and social responsibility, through this global initiative. The enthusiasm and participation we've seen are truly inspiring with employees contributing to a massive 122.7million steps so far. We are excited to see our teams come together, push their limits, and reach our global goal at PepsiCo of providing 4 million meals to underprivileged communities with the help of Food Forward South Africa.” – Pavitra Singh, CHRO, PepsiCo India & South Asia
