Pradeep Bakshi to Step Down as Voltas Managing Director

Tata-owned home appliances company Voltas has announced a leadership change, with Managing Director and CEO Pradeep Bakshi set to step down upon completing his term in August, according to a report by The Economic Times.

Mukundan Menon, currently serving as Executive Director and Head of the Room Air Conditioners business, has been appointed as Bakshi’s successor. Starting in April, Menon will take on the role of MD designate, and by September, he will officially assume the position of Managing Director.

Bakshi, who has been a part of Voltas for over 20 years, brings with him three decades of experience in the consumer durables sector. Over the years, he has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Appliances Man of the Year award in 2013 and the President’s Award for Energy Conservation.

This transition marks a significant leadership shift for Voltas as the company continues to strengthen its position in the home appliances industry.
