PRCAI undergoes structural changes!

Public Relations Consultants Association of India has announced its new Managing Committee for 2010-11.

Sharif Rangnekar, CEO and Director, Integral PR, has been elected President, PRCAI. Sharif has been involved with PRCAI Board since 2006 and has been the Vice President of PRCAI before embracing this new role. Nitin Mantri, CEO Avian Media, was elected Vice President having served as Secretary PRCAI in 2009 while Amitesh Banerjee, General Manager-Comma Consulting, was elected Secretary, PRCAI after having served as Chairperson, West.

The key appointees for the Regional Chapters this year include Praveen Rikhy, MD-Melcole PR, as Chairperson, North; Viju George, Branch Director-20:20 Media, as Chairperson, South; Carolina Bajaj, Associate Director - Avian Media as Chairperson, West and Basab Bhattacharya as Chairperson, East. The appointees for Vice Chairs include Manash Kalita, Branch Head, Avian Media, Delhi as Vice Chairperson, North; and Vandana Sandhir Managing Partner - Genesis Burson Marsteller, Vice Chairperson, West.

The PRCAI, set up in 2003, has self regulatory guidelines on ethics and standards and these norms are followed by all the 19 members that are part of the industry association. For the coming year, PRCAI would focus on the objective to constantly adopt better practices keeping in mind transparency and corporate governance. PRCAI will also work on committing themselves to high standards and guidelines pertaining to the working of PR agencies and consultancies.
