Programme Transmission facility in Satellite mode, inaugurated at DDK Gangtok

Coinciding with the 57th Foundation Day of Doordarshan, Shri C. Lalrosanga, Director General, Doordarshan inaugurated the Programme Transmission facility in Satellite mode from the Earth station at DDK Gangtok on 15th September, 2015.

The transmission in Satellite mode is for 3½ hours from 05:30 pm to 09:00 pm, daily in C-Band on Insat 4B. With this new development, DDK Gangtok has also come on the Satellite map of Doordarshan, at par with other DDKs of the North Eastern region.

The event also coincided with ‘Engineers’ Day’ on the same day.
