PTC Network announces the inaugural PTC rising filmstar awards

PTC Network, the leading media house in North India, has announced the launch of the PTC Rising Filmstar Awards, an event dedicated to honoring fresh talent in Hindi, Punjabi and Haryanvi cinema. The glittering ceremony is scheduled to take place at a prestigious five-star property in Chandigarh this July and will be televised worldwide, showcasing the brightest new stars of North India.

The PTC RISING FILMSTAR AWARDS aim to provide a platform for young and emerging talents, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the cinematic landscape. This includes first-time actors, singers, producers, music composers, directors, and other debutants in the industry. With over 30 nomination categories, the event promises an evening filled with fun, music, and recognition, celebrating the best fresh talent in Punjabi and Haryanvi cinema.

The event will witness entertaining performances by some of the best artists in the industry and will be graced by the presence of stalwarts from the Hindi, Punjabi and Haryanvi cinema industries. The nomination categories will be released by PTC Network next week, along with details on the television channels and digital platforms where the event will be broadcast.

Talking about the initiative MD & President of PTC Network Rabindra Narayan said, “Cinema is engrained in our lives and this is the golden period for both viewers and talent. Anybody with talent and skills can now get work in movies, thanks to OTT, resurgent cinematic landscape as well as acceptance of short films. PTC thought it fit to recognize fresh talent in cinema with these awards”. 

This initiative follows the success of PTC Network's previous award shows, such as the PTC Achievers Awards, PTC Medical Awards, and PTC Retail & Services Awards, which honor exceptional contributions across various fields. In April, the network also celebrated rising stars of the music industry, recognizing more than 30 artists in 28 different categories.

The PTC Rising Filmstar Awards are set to become a significant milestone in the recognition and encouragement of new talent within Punjabi and Haryanvi cinema. By providing a platform for these artists, PTC Network continues to uphold its commitment to nurturing and celebrating the vibrant culture and talent of North India.
