Quint Digital Divests Quint Hindi, Invests in Shvaas

Quint Digital Limited has divested its Hindi website and ‘Quint Hindi’ YouTube channel, including perpetual content licensing and other identified assets. The sale, valued at ₹39.52 lakh (₹39,52,326) plus applicable taxes, has received regulatory approval from SEBI, as per the company’s filings with BSE.

The company had earlier announced in December 2024 that operations for Quint Hindi would cease on or before March 31, 2025. The buyer, Shvaas Creations Private Limited, was incorporated on December 17, 2024, by Vani Bisht and Shailesh Chaturvedi. The firm plans to launch a digital platform under the brand name ‘Kisan India.’

As part of the transaction, Quint Digital Limited has also acquired a 77.5% stake in Shvaas Creations, making it a subsidiary of the company.

In a strategic shift, Quint Digital had earlier stated that it would pivot entirely toward enterprise content, focusing on high-quality journalism and expert-driven features. This move aims to strengthen its subscription-based revenue model alongside its existing branded content and ad sales business.

Meanwhile, Quint Digital recently made an international investment, acquiring an 8.4% stake in American media company Lee Enterprises for $5.49 million, purchasing 5,13,000 shares, as per SEC filings.

On the financial front, Quint Digital reported a decline in revenue for Q3 of FY 2024-25, with operational income standing at ₹85.12 crore—marking a 46% YoY drop from ₹157.65 crore in the same period last year. Total income fell by 27%, from ₹220.31 crore to ₹159.78 crore. The company’s net loss widened to ₹31.54 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to ₹7.9 crore in the previous quarter.
