Radhe Adidam Appointed SMB Revenue Operations Lead for Jiostar's Ent & Sports
Jiostar has appointed Radhe Shyam Adidam as the SMB Revenue Operations Lead for Entertainment and Sports. With over 16 years of experience spanning global corporations and fast-growing startups, Adidam brings a wealth of expertise in Strategy & Operations, Technology & Data, Revenue & Growth, Monetization, Partnerships, Hyper-Scaling, and Business Transformation to the role.
Adidam’s career includes notable leadership positions at Disney+ Hotstar, where he managed several teams focusing on Ad Operations, Tech Partnerships, and Monetization. His accomplishments include establishing the Ad Operations Center of Excellence and driving revenue growth through programmatic partnerships. He also played a pioneering role in integrating Generative AI for advertising innovations. Before his time at Disney+ Hotstar, Adidam served as Vice President at Swiggy, overseeing Delivery Operations across India’s rapidly growing market of 500+ cities. Additionally, his experience spans global roles at Meta and SunEdison, focusing on Customer Experience Strategy and International Business Development. Adidam has led initiatives across multiple sectors including Media & Entertainment, AdTech, eCommerce, Consumer Internet, and CleanTech, working in diverse markets like India, APAC, and EMEA.
Adidam’s appointment follows the formation of a major joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Viacom18 Media, and The Walt Disney Company, finalized on November 14. This new venture represents a significant shift in India’s media and entertainment space, merging the media assets of Viacom18, JioCinema, and Star India into one consolidated powerhouse valued at approximately Rs 70,352 crore (US$8.5 billion). The JV is majority-controlled by Reliance Industries with a 56% stake, and also includes contributions from Disney (36.84%) and Viacom18 (46.82%).
Combining major entertainment brands like Star, Colors, JioCinema, and Hotstar, the joint venture will manage over 100 TV channels, produce more than 30,000 hours of content annually, and reach a digital subscriber base of over 50 million, making it one of India’s largest media and entertainment entities.
