Radio City moves from Entertainment to Edutainment with the launch of "City of Tales'
Commenting on the new initiative, Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City 91.1FM, says, "Radio City's extension in this segment only seemed logical as our association with the art of entertainment through audio is over a decade old. With Audio books our goal is to entertain and engage children through the old storytelling method, but in a new medium. Indian stories have always passed from generation to generation in the audio format ' earlier through sages and wise men talking to their disciples and students and later through grandparents and parents telling us bedtime tales. These books are yet another devise to impart Indian folklore to the next generation. "City Of Tales' is available in an attractive box containing an audio CD with the stories, activity books based on the stories and colour sketch pens making it an ideal gifting option. The first two releases are Folk Tales and Animal Wisdom. Each title comprises of 5 stories and each story is about 8-10 minutes. The titles are available in Hindi and English. Interesting factoids help children improve vocabulary and general knowledge. The activity books available additionally will provide children with engaging and intelligent activities to help develop their minds.
