Radio Mirchi premieres the music of Patiala House!

On Monday Radio Mirchi listeners were greeted with a flavour of Punjab as the energetic music of ‘Patiala House’ was premiered exclusively on the Mirchi airwaves! It was a star-studded affair all day long on Mumbai’s hottest radio station as the cast and crew of Patiala House visited the Radio Mirchi station. From the very talented and gorgeous lead pair of Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma to Rishi Kapoor, Hard Kaur, Soni Razdan and other supporting stars along with director Nikhil Advani and music composer trio – Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy came across shows and chatted with Mirchi RJs while unveiling the music on air for the first time.

The stars were seen enjoying themselves at Radio Mirchi. Keeping alive its bright and fun image, the Mirchi studio was given a unique ‘Patiala’ avatar with lassiwallah, khatiya and glasses of lassi to greet the stars! The attractive pair of Akshay and Anushka and director Nikhil Advani were on air on ‘Hi Mumbai’ and chatted with RJ Suren about the music, their novel pairing, and the vivacious soundtrack of ‘Patiala House’. Akshay praised the music of the film saying, “Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have done a great job by creating a versatile soundtrack for the various shades in this film. It’s great to see Mirchi listeners giving the music a huge welcome”. Mirchi listeners were thrilled when they heard their favourite superstar sing ‘Kyun main jaagoon’ with RJ Suren.

Anushka Sharma, the heart throb of many youngsters, was heard reliving her experiences while shooting the film and commented that her favourite track is ‘Laungda Lashkara’. It was a treat for Mirchi listeners when the gifted trio of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy made it a melodious day to remember by strumming and singing the ‘Patiala House’ songs on air! On this special ‘Patiala House’ day on Radio Mirchi, listeners also heard the veteran Rishi Kapoor, the lively Hard Kaur, Soni Razdan and other stars sharing their thoughts on being part of such a unique film.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, ‘Patiala House’ boasts a varied star cast comprising Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Hard Kaur, Prem Chopra, Tinu Anand, Soni razdan and many more talented actors. The movie centers around Gattu, played by Akshay Kumar, his desire to fulfil his dreams and the conflicts that he must overcome in order to succeed.
