Radio Mirchi records growth in EBITDA by 33% to Rs. 28 Cr in Q3

Net Profit for the nine months ended December 31, 2010, grew by 161% to Rs. 34.2 crore as compared to Rs. 13.1 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal year. The Net profit includes profit of Rs.12.03 crore arising from the sale of the company's subsidiary viz. Times Innovative Media Limited. EBITDA for the period was Rs. 58.4 crore, up 30.2%.
As per Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2010 Q3, Radio Mirchi has strengthened its leadership position in India. Radio Mirchi has garnered the top spot in FM radio with a listenership of over 42.2 million listeners ' nearly double the listenership of the next radio brand. Recent RAM data shows that in Delhi, there are more than 1 crore listeners in Delhi, the biggest radio market. Mirchi's current listenership is bigger than the Average Issue Readership (AIR) readership of the Top 3 newspapers put together.
