Radio Mirchi ties up with MTV for a hunt

In its latest initiative, Radio Mirchi has partnered with youth channel MTV to organize a unique band hunt in 4 cities.

Commenting on the initiative, Sujata Bhatt, EVP, Corporate & Strategy said, "Music is at the heart of Mirchi and promoting local talent is a passion for the brand. Our association with MTV Rockathon for the hunt for the best local band is a step towards providing a platform to emerging talent and reinforcing our commitment to music."

The band hunt would give a chance to budding bands to showcase their talent to nearly 5 cr listeners of Mirchi and would also get them a chance to perform on stage with bands like Parikrama, Circus, Bandish, Rickterscale etc on MTV.

The band hunt shall be conducted in 4 cities across India ' Delhi, Pune, Chennai and Kolkata. The bands can register for the audition by sending vote (space) rock (space) band name and send it to 58888. The registered bands will be called for audition to Mirchi studio and shortlisting will be done.
