Radio Misty contributes to the Earth Hour
This year the switch-off was observed from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. as a warning about the damage done to climate by men and industry. Promoted by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the global conservation organization, the campaign is into its fourth year.
Radio Misty started an on air campaign appealing people to come forward for the cause. All Radio Jockeys talked about climate change and global warming. At 8.30 pm all lights in office and studios were taken off. Only emergency system was on to air programs. Radio Jockeys performed their shows in candle light.
Says Nishant Mittal, Chief Executive Officer, Radio Misty this campaign is basically to sensitize the individuals towards sustainable living and arrest the depletion of our natural resources. Earth Hour is the need of the hour as we have witnessed changes in our surroundings. Radio Misty always supported this cause, so we asked our listeners' to participate in this event.
