Rapidly growing Indian audience for online news
comScore reports that online news viewership is rapidly growing in India, with October 2009 showing unprecedented traffic to local and international new sites rise by 33% to 16. 5 million visitors in the age group 15 plus and a 44% in the same month, positioning Indian as fertile ground for both Indian and international publishers vying for wider berths.
Times of India saw a 35% increase ,One India surged 148%, and the Hindu Group bagged fifth position in this race.
Multinational player Yahoo ranked as the most sought after destination in the online news category.
