Ratan Rajput aka Laali of 'Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo' is allergic to Sindoor

Ratan Rajput aka Laali of Zee TV’s popular show, “Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo” has become the poster girl of television audiences with her rustic look and the quintessential orange Sindoor smeared generously over her middle parted hair. But wearing thesindoor for more than 15 hours everyday for the shoot has caused a skin infection on her scalp and she was extremely harassed. It ended up with her changing her hairstyle a few days back. Poor Ratan!

Ratan is very worried about the fact that she is going through skin problems at such an early age. The production house is taking up the cause of adulteration in the manufacturing of sindoor very seriously. This apparently happens because manufacturers use cheaper substitutes to givesindoor an attractive red color. Now, the Agle Janam team insists on only using branded make-up products for the artists.

Ratan says, “I guess this was ought to happen with the amount of sindoorthat was spread on my hair and one had to do it to give authenticity to the character. Thankfully I consulted a dermatologist before any severe damage was caused to my scalp. Now, I only apply a dot of sindoor on the forehead.”
