Saïd Business School ropes in AP Parigi

The Saïd Business School, one of Europe's youngest and most entrepreneurial business schools, has appointed AP Parigi, former Managing Director & Group CEO, Eros India, as a member of its business advisory council.

Parigi will rub shoulders with thought leaders from Deutsche Bank; Bain Capital; Walton Bates; Hellman & Friedman; LinkedIn; L'Oreal UK & Ireland; Twitter, Inc.; HMV Group; De Beers Group of Companies; Lloyds Baking Group plc., to name a few. The only other Indian professional on the council is Subramanian Ramadorai, Vice Chairman, Tata Consultancy Services.

Parigi is credited with developing Radio Mirchi, India's largest private radio network, into a power brand and one of the fastest growing media platforms, with a footprint of more than 200 million people across 32 cities, and broadcasting in 10 languages throughout India, within seven years of inception.

He successfully led the dialogue with the regulatory bodies for the Phase II radio policy which paved the way for the exponential growth of the private FM radio sector in India. He lead managed the acquisition of the UK radio business franchise of the SMG group ' the first overseas acquisition by any Indian media group.

More recently, Parigi received the Life Time Achievement Award by the World Brand Congress in Mumbai for his contribution in building the brand Radio Mirchi during his tenure as MD and CEO of Entertainment Network India Limited.
