SAB TV's magical entry at 7:30pm time band
Amalgamating comedy with magic and incorporating bizarre situations and characters, Ring Wrong Riing revolves around a middle class household. This loving family consists of an overworked, yet lovable housewife Mansi, played by Muskaan Mehani; her retro-era husband Vijay, essayed by Asif Sheikh; a trifle loud yet endearing mother-in-law Gayatri, enacted by Anita Kanwal and her dead father-in-law Bauji portrayed by the industry veteran, Rakesh Bedi. The comedy of errors starts when Bauji decides to gift his magic ring to Mansi, who uses it for laudable ideals but with unforeseen consequences as the ring tends to have a mind of its own! Due to this, things often go out of hand resulting in crazily funny circumstances.
On the other hand, "Gili Gili Gappa' is a heart warming, rib-tickling story about a father's relationship with his children who have lost their mother. The ever charming Varun Badola plays the father Vishnu, a soft hearted policeman, who tries to create a balance between his work and his naughty children. Life starts playing strange tricks when his children make a special wish and miraculously their wish is fulfilled. Their deceased mother comes back in the form of a "Pari' and helps them overcome various trials and tribulations. This show also marks the return of Shweta Gulati who essays the role of their "Pari' mother. The beautiful Shoma Anand plays the character of their grandmother.
Commenting on the launch, Anooj Kapoor, Executive VP & Business Head SAB TV said, "With the launch of these two new shows at 7:30 pm we are extending our prime-time. The magic comedies have strong women protagonists in a family set up. This concept will appeal to the entire family audience and is in line with our positioning of "Asli Mazaa SAB ke Saath Aata Hai'."
Ring Wrong Riing is produced by Anjaney Telefilms Pvt. Ltd who are the creators of Son Pari. "Gili Gili Gappa' comes from Garima Productions who currently produce "Lapataganj' for SAB TV.
