SABERA 2024 - celebrating social impact excellence 7th year in a row

सबेरा SABERA™ 2024 is gearing up to honor extraordinary contributions in the field of social impact at its prestigious awards ceremony on December 11, 2024, at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The event will highlight organizations and individuals who have made significant strides in social development and sustainability.

The jury will convene on November 4, 2024, to review the nominees through a rigorous screening process, supported by a dedicated pre-screening council to ensure only the most impactful projects are selected. The jury plays a vital role in authenticating and recognizing deserving initiatives.

This year's distinguished jury is chaired by Renu Sud Karnad for the fourth consecutive year, bringing her wealth of experience and commitment to social change. She highlighted, "The individuals, corporates, and communities involved in this selfless pursuit are the role models that India needs, and by curating this group, SABERA is, in fact, contributing to national service."

The SABERA Awards 2024 saw an esteemed jury of industry leaders and social impact champions come together to celebrate outstanding contributions in sustainability and corporate responsibility. Mainak Dhar, Managing Director of Mc Cain Foods India, underscored the importance of purpose-driven action in his remarks, emphasizing that individuals, communities, and businesses alike have the capacity to be forces for good when motivated by a desire to serve. Geeta Goel, Country Director of the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, applauded the SABERA team for their meticulous efforts in identifying and authenticating organizations and individuals making a difference, highlighting the critical role they play in showcasing impactful work.

Adding to the voices of support, Vikas Chawla, Managing Director of Compass Group India, praised SABERA as a powerful platform that promotes excellence in sustainability and social responsibility. Yash Yadav, Executive Director & Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, JSW MG Motor India, expressed his gratitude to SABERA for recognizing brands and individuals who put community before self. George Muthoot George, Deputy Managing Director of Muthoot Finance, reiterated the importance of businesses investing in society, stating that corporate social responsibility drives positive change when profit motives are balanced with societal contributions. Kanika Pal, South Asia Sustainability Director, Unilever emphasized the need for cross-sectoral learning, noting that recognizing achievements across industries is essential for inspiring the next generation of leaders. Chandrika Bahadur, CEO of The Antara Foundation, expressed her pride in being part of SABERA, honoring those who have embraced the challenge of making a meaningful impact. Sandeep Jain, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director at Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Limited, stated that recognizing and supporting small initiatives is the key to unlocking their profound impact on societal transformation. Jaideep Karnik, Head Of Content and Editor at Amar Ujala Web Services Pvt. Ltd. also applauded SABERA for its initiative towards a sustainable future.

The shortlisted organisations include renowned names in the FMCG, finance, petroleum & natural gas, steel and power, automobile, education, and non-profit sectors.
