Sargun Mehta is back on Zee TV to play the lead protagonist in Apno ke liye Geeta ka Dharmyudh

After her successful stint essaying to perfection the role of Neetu on Zee TV’s 12/24 Karol Bagh, Sargun Mehta will grace yet another show in the avatar of Geeta on the channel’s upcoming show “Apno ke liye Geeta ka Dharmyudh”. Sargun will be playing the female lead ‘Geeta’ on the show alongside Nikkhil Chaddha, Kanan Malhotra, Garima Ajmani and the ever popular vamp we all love to hate – Urvashi Dholakia!

Our source tells us that “Sargun is all set to play the role of ‘Geeta’ the affable nineteen year old protagonist who though orphaned as a child, has not forgotten her roots and values. Her amiable nature makes her well loved by one and all. It is only when her family falls prey to the wiles of a manipulative woman that she takes a stand for her own people.Sargun was so perfect in her portrayal of Neetu on 12/24 Karol Bagh that we couldn’t let go of her talent.”

“I am very happy to have been considered for this role. Geeta tells the story of a strong modern woman who manages to do what is right despite pressures from society. Though the character of Geeta is similar to that of (Karol Bagh’s) Neetu in some ways, there are marked differences in the way they think & react to situations…I feel closer to Geeta since our personalities are very similar. I guess you will just have to watch the show to find out” said Sargun with a laugh.
