Satish Rajwade & Vipul Nagar appointed to lead key language businesses in JioStar

Satish Rajwade and Vipul Nagar have been appointed to crucial leadership positions in the newly formed JioStar Joint Venture (JV) between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Viacom18 Media, and The Walt Disney Company.

Rajwade will lead the Marathi language business, reporting to Sumanta Bose, Head of Cluster, Entertainment (Star Plus and Bharat, Bengali, Marathi, and Gujarati). A veteran filmmaker and storyteller, Rajwade has an extensive career in the Marathi film industry. He has directed and written films like Ti Saddhya Kay Kartey and Aapla Manus, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Rajwade also created the Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai film franchise and served as the Content & Programming Head for Star Pravah Marathi for six years.

Vipul Nagar joins JioStar as Vice President - Creative, overseeing the Gujarati language business. Nagar, with over 20 years of experience in media, has held various creative and programming roles. He spent nearly 15 years at Mirchi Entertainment Network India and held leadership positions at independent agencies. His most recent role was as Head of Content at Colors Rishtey under Viacom18 Media.
