Shoma Anand to don her dancing shoes for Gili Gili Gapa

Shoma Anand portraying the role of ‘Naani’ in SAB TV’s latest magic comedy Gili Gili Gappa recently put on her dancing shoes while shooting for one of the scenes. She moves to the beat of the evergreen peppy number from the 1950’s movie Howrah Bridge to the song ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu’ and does it very convincingly as well.

Known for her dancing in her earlier days, she sportingly agreed to do the scene and practiced for hours at end before she got her steps right! Considering the song that she is performing to is at large, filled with humorous lyrics, it sure promises to be a rip-roaring affair.

Commenting on her dance performance, she said “It was fun to perform the dance number, a good break from the dialogue-drama kind of acting. And considering, my character Naani is that of a disciplinarian, I am sure the audiences will be in for a surprise. I have done my bit of dances during my stint with Bollywood, but it has been long since then, and I am glad that all went well!”
