Siddharth Bahuguna to head Colors' non-fiction content

Colors the general entertainment channel, has done structural changes in its programming team, in line with its growth plans. The channel has roped-in Siddharth Bahuguna to head its non-fiction shows.

Commenting on the new programming structure, Ashvini said, "Given our rapid pace of growth since launch and the increase in our programming hours over the last few month, it is critical for COLORS to keep the focus balanced across fiction and non-fiction and across various time-bands to continue to deliver differentiated programming." She further added, "Our current structure is well suited to support our aggressive ambitions in this space."

Further, the entire fiction content has been divided into 4 time-blocks and each block will have a separate fiction team driving the respective block. The 4 fiction blocks will be headed by Anju Kapoor, Devyani Rale, Sumeet Saincher and Shivani Shah. All the fiction block heads and Siddharth Bahuguna will report into Ashvini Yardi, COLORS' programming Head. Saurabh Tiwari, who headed fiction for COLORS since launch has resigned from his current role.

Speaking on this appointment, Siddharth, said, "COLORS has redefined entertainment on television over the last 2 years through some unique concepts and world-class production. I look forward to my role in COLORS to lead its non-fiction content and continue to set new benchmarks in television entertainment."

Siddharth Bahuguna, with a vast and diverse diverse experience has worked with various channels and production houses including BBC 1, Discovery, Sony, Nickelodeon (US), Channel 4-UK, AXN, NGC, ZEE, and STAR One amongst others. His experience over the years has ranged from factual & entertainment based programming to travel to reality shows, studio based shows and advertiser funded series.
